King Salman has authorized the pardon and release of six Pakistani nationals who were arrested in April 2022 for abusing and insulting two federal Ministers in Masjid al-Nabawi.

It all happened when the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan visited Saudi Arabia with his delegates on his first foreign trip.
As soon as the delegates entered Masjid al Nabawi, some Pakistani nationals started chanting the slogan “Chor Chor” which means thieves.
"Chor! Chor!": Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation were bombarded by chants of "thieves" and "beggars" hurled at them by some “frustrated” Pakistanis as they arrived in Madina.

The spokesperson for the Madina Police said the suspects were “referred to the competent authorities after legal procedures were completed against them.”
