Death Leave
In case of the death of a sibling (brother or sister), the worker is entitled to a leave of 3 fully paid working days as per Article 113 of Saudi Labor Law.
- Old: 1 fully paid working day.

Maternity Leave
Every Saudi and expat working woman in Saudi Arabia is entitled to 12 weeks of fully paid maternity leave as per Article 151 of Saudi Labor Law.

Renewal of a Fixed-Term Contract
The employment contract with a non-Saudi will always be fixed-term as per Article 37 of Saudi Labor Law.
If the employment contract does not mention a period, it is valid for one year from the date of joining.
If the fixed-term employment contract has no renewal clause, it will be extended for one year.
- Old: It will be extended until the Iqama expiry date.
Notice period in a fixed-term contract
To resign or terminate a fixed-term contract, the employee or employer must issue a notice period as mentioned. If the notice period is not written in the contract,
- The employee must give a 30-day prior notice.
- The employer must give a 60-day prior notice.
- Notice Period under Saudi Labor Law.
Probation Period
The probation period in Saudi Arabia cannot exceed 180 days in any circumstances.
Overtime
The employee can take an overtime allowance or paid leave for the extra hours worked.
