Who can get the visa?
Saudi Iqama holders or GCC residents who meet all the below-mentioned requirements can get a Jordan on-arrival visa for the following;
- Himself.
- All accompanying dependents.
- All accompanying legal domestic workers.
- Visit Visa Holders under your Iqama.
In order to get an arrival visa, a dependent needs to go to the border along with the sponsor Iqama holder.

Visa Requirements
- Passport with a validity of 6 months.
- Original Iqama with 3 months validity for Saudi residents.
- A suitable Iqama profession.
- Exit Reentry Visa valid for your stay in Jordan.
- Hotel Booking covers your stay in Jordan.
- Visa Fee: SR 55/passport.
- Valid Istimara.
- Authorization letter if the car is not in your name.

Select the Route
There are 3 borders from where you can enter Jordan. You can select the route at your ease;
Durra Border Crossing
If you are coming from Jeddah through Haql by road, you will most probably cross the Jordan border through Durra border crossing.
Al Mudawara Border
If you are coming from Tabuk by road, you will most probably cross the Jordan border through Al Mudawara Border.
Al Omari Border Crossing
If you are coming from Riyadh or Dammam, you will most probably cross the Jordan border through the Al Omari border crossing.

Entering Jordan
Saudi Iqama holders or GCC residents can either park their cars in Saudi Arabia and enter Jordan in a taxi or drive themselves and get a visa. The taxi charges around SR 500 to SR 600 to cross the border. If you go by your own;
- Provide all the documents at the Immigration counter.
- Pay the fee of SR 55/passport.
- They will stamp the Jordan visa.
- Pay for Car Insurance: JD 36.
- Pay for Car Permit: JD 20.
- 1 JD = SR 5.30.
- Validity of Jordan Visa = 2 weeks.
Coming back to Saudi Arabia
After completing your trip from Jordan, you can enter back to Saudi Arabia;
- Get the clearance form from the same window where you got the insurance.
- Get the exit stamp from your passport.
- Get your car scanned on the Saudi side.
- Get the entry stamp on your passport.
Useful Tips
- Get the petrol of your car filled before crossing the border as the fuel is quite expensive in Jordan.
- If you are going to extend a family visit visa, better explain it to the Jordanian authorities. Sometimes they let you go inside and get out of Jordan without getting the insurance.
