How to book Kiswa factory appointment?

The cover of the Holy Kaaba is prepared in the King Abdul Aziz Complex, also known as the Kiswah factory. If you want to see the process of making the cover of the Holy Kaaba called Kiswa, book an appointment/permit to visit the factory.

Kiswah Factory

Kiswa is the black cloth that covers the Holy Kaaba. Every year, the Saudi government prepares a new Kiswa in a factory in Makkah. The factory workers write the inscriptions on the Kiswa.

Any Iqama holder, Umrah Visa holder, or visitor can book an appointment to visit the Kiswa factory if they have the following;

• Absher Account.
• Mobile Number Registered with Absher.
• Nafath Account.

Appointment for the Kiswah factory

To book the appointment to visit the Kiswah factory,

• Click on https://eservices.gph.gov.sa/login
• Click on “تسجيل الدخول“.
• Enter your Iqama Number.
• Approve the Nafath access.
• Scroll down and click on the “تصاريح مجمع الملك عبدالعزيز لكسوة الكعبة“.

On the next page, you must select the following services to book an appointment to visit the Kiswa factory.

• Click on “ابدأ الخدمة” to start the service.
• Tap on the 3-lines on the upper right corner.
• Select “إضافة تصريح زيارة لمصنع الكسوة” from the drop-down.
• Agree to the terms and conditions on the next page.
  

On the next page, you must fill out the form to book a Kiswa factory appointment.

• نوع الزيارة: الأفراد
• عدد الزوار: Number of visitors.
• Maximum People: 50.
• Select the date and time for the visit.
• If you have selected more than 1 member, write the name and the nationality of all.

On the next page, the system will show you that the Kiswa factory permit has been issued. Make sure to visit the factory at the specified time.

You can check the status of the Kiswa factory appointment online. To do it;

• Click on “تسجيل الدخول“.
• Enter your Iqama Number.
• Approve the Nafath access.
• Scroll down and click on the “تصاريح مجمع الملك عبدالعزيز لكسوة الكعبة“.
• Click on “ابدأ الخدمة” to start the service.

On the next screen, you will find all the permits issued by the Saudi Government for the Kiswa factory.

How to get Ghilaf e Kaaba?

Pilgrims coming from around the world to Makkah want to take a piece of Ghilaf e Kaaba, also called Kiswah, to their homes. After the Kiswah is replaced yearly, the old Ghilaf e Kaaba returns to the Kiswah factory.

The gold and other expensive metals used on the cover of the Holy Kaaba are removed, and the black cloth is submitted to the Saudi government.

The government distributes some parts of the cover to Hajj/Umrah pilgrims in Mataaf, and the rest is distributed as gifts from the government to high-profile people such as presidents and prime ministers of Muslim countries.
