Saudi Airlines has launched a state-of-the-art tracking system for lost baggage. If you scan the bar code printed on the ticket issued by the Saudi Airlines staff for the lost baggage, you will be able to track the latest status of your baggage.

However, in my personal experience, the tracking system showed that my bags had not yet been found, but when I visited the airport, they were there. Therefore, I would advise you not to rely on their online service and visit the airport to check the status of the baggage.

 

Baggage is not found within 10 days

If you do not find your baggage within 10 days, find it damaged, or find something missing, don’t delay filling out the Baggage Claim Form from their website and submitting it immediately.

This claim resolution will depend upon the details you provided to the Baggage Service staff at the airport and all the distinctive items you mentioned inside the bag.

Lost Baggage Compensation

According to the Saudi Consumer Protection Association (CPA), an airline is required to pay compensation to passengers in case of a delay in passenger baggage during a flight with the following;

  • 40 SDR/day with a maximum of 200 SDR for an international flight.
