How to print driving licence in Saudi Arabia?

You can download and print your digital driving license and Istimara from Absher and Tawakkalna applications in Saudi Arabia. Here is the procedure.

In this way, if someone does not carry a driving license or Istimara, he can show Saudi officials his digital ID through the Absher or Tawakkalna.

Print Driving License Card

Remember that at the time of renewal of your driving license, you will have an option to get it delivered to your home address. If you want a printed driver’s license card in Saudi Arabia, follow this process.

• Get a Muroor Appointment.
• Visit the traffic police office at the time of the appointment.
• Present your physical or digital Iqama to the officer.
• He will print the driver’s license card for you.

Print Digital Driving License from Absher

To download your Digital Driving License from Absher,

• Open https://www.absher.sa/
• Click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
• Select “Dashboard“.
• Scroll down and click “>” until you see a driving license.
• Click on “View Documents“.
• Absher will show you the digital driving license on the next screen.

If you hold it for a while, you can save it on your mobile. Per the current rules, you can carry a print or a soft copy of your digital driving license to Saudi Arabia.

Download Digital Istimara from Absher

To download your Digital Istimara/vehicle registration from Absher,

• Open https://www.absher.sa/
• Click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
• Select “Dashboard“.
• Scroll down and click “>” until you see a vehicle registration.
• Click on “View Documents“.
• Absher will show you the digital Istimara on the next screen.

If you hold it for a while, you will be able to save it on your mobile so you can use it anytime.

Digital driving license and Istimara – Tawakkalna

In order to get the digital Iqama through the Tawakkalna application,

• Download the Tawakkalna Services application;
  • Google Playstore. 
  • Apple iTunes.
• Log in to it using your Absher ID and password.
• Log in to it using your Absher ID and password.
• Click on “Profile“.
• Select the “Cards” button.
• Scroll down to the Vehicles tab.
• Click on your Driving License.
• Click on the Car Number plate to see the Digital Istimara.

The Tawakkalna system will show you the digital driving license or Istimara to download.

Get DL with Absher Individual

In order to activate the digital driving license through the Absher, you need to;

• Download the “Absher Individual” application through PlayStore or iTunes.
• Log in to the application using your Absher username and password.
• Click on “My Services“.
• Select “Digital Cards“.
• Click on “Activate Digital Card“.
• Select “Driving License” from the options.

Now click on the circle to select the driving license.

• Tap on the “Review Details” button.
• Click on the “Activate Digital License” on the next screen.
• Your Digital Driving License has been successfully activated in Saudi Arabia.

You can take a screenshot and keep it on your mobile. In case a traffic police officer asks for a driving license, you can show it to him. He will scan the bar code and you are all set to go.

What is the use?

If you do not have your physical driving license or Istimara, you can show the Saudi officials the electronic cards. In this way, you can avoid a fine of SR 900 for driving without a license.
