Islamic Meaning: Seeing a Vulture in a Dream

A vulture is an animal that tends to eat dead animals. As explained below, seeing a vulture in a dream could have many meanings and interpretations, as per Islam.

According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه, the most incredible dream interpreter of Islam, the Vulture is the leader of the birds. It is an animal that has strength and a long life.

If the dreamer sees that he has a vulture, then he will attain benefits and blessings from an elderly person. It also means that such a person will achieve wealth and assistance from the king.

Flying with a Vulture

According to Ibrahim Karmani رحمة الله عليه, a 16th-century scholar of Islam, if a person sees that the vulture has taken him into the sky in a dream, then it means that he will go for a long distance traveling and attain a lot of wealth and blessings. 

However, if, for the same dream, the dreamer sees that the vulture has dropped him from the sky or fallen by himself, then it means that he will fall from his status, and his work will get worse and face downfall.

If the dreamer sees that the vulture has taken him to the sky and dropped him at a place in the skies, then he will go traveling and die there. 

Hunting Vulture

Seeing a vulture without claws in the dream is interpreted as angels.

If the dreamer sees that the vulture has hunted his prey above the head of the dreamer, then it means that he shall do business/ get involved in selling or buying things.

Fighting with a Vulture

Fighting with a vulture in the dream, such that the dreamer becomes victorious, means that the dreamer shall be victorious over his enemy during a fight.

However, if the vulture is victorious over the dreamer in the dream during the fight, then it means that his enemy will force him to face defeat.

If the dreamer sees that a vulture comes and sits on him, then it means that he shall be hanged to death.

Baby Vulture

Seeing a baby vulture in the dream is interpreted as a son; however, if the dreamer is unmarried, the dreamer will marry an unmarried rich woman.

Vulture in the street

According to Prophet Daniyal عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ if someone sees a dream where the vulture has landed in a street, the king will visit that street.

However, if the vulture is killed in the dream in the street, then it means that the king shall be defeated or shall die.

According to Imam Jafar Sadiq رحمة الله عليه, an 8th-century scholar of Islam, a jurist, and a theologian, seeing a vulture in the dream has the following interpretations:

• Status
• Accepting orders
