How to book Istiqdam appointment for family visa?

Sometimes, you need to book an appointment with Istiqdam to apply for a permanent family visa, a family visit visa, or a housemaid visa in Saudi Arabia. Here is how to do it.

Book Istiqdam appointment

To book an Istiqdam appointment;

• Log in to Absher: https://www.absher.sa/
• Click on the “Appointments” tab.
• Select the option “Expatriate Affairs“.
• Click on the “Proceed to Service” button.

On this screen, you need to select the purpose of taking the Istiqdam appointment.

• طلب فتح ملف إستقدام = Apply for a housemaid visa.
• التقدم بطلب إستقدام عائلة مقيم = Apply for a permanent family visa.
• التقدم بطلب زيارة للأقارب من الدرجة الأولى = Apply for a Family Visit Visa.
• Region: Select the region.

On the next page,

• Select the city in the selected region.
  

• Select the appointment at your convenient time.

  • Green: Available Appointments.
  • Red: Already Booked Appointments.

After selecting the Istiqdam appointment time, the system will take you to the confirmation page where the time, date, map location, and all the family or housemaid visa requirements are written. You need to confirm the appointment details.

Finally, you will be able to see a confirmation page. Printing the page and taking it with you on the day of the appointment is better.

Cancel Istiqdam Appointment

If you try to book another appointment after confirming the first appointment, the following message will appear:

• You have reached a maximum number of valid appointments per person.

In this case, you must either cancel or edit the current appointment. To cancel your current Istiqdam appointment,

1. Log in to your Absher account.
2. Click on “Appointments”.
3. Expatriate Affairs.
4. Cancel or Update the Istiqdam Appointment.
5. Confirm Cancellation.

Error Messages

Sometimes you get the following error messages when booking the Istiqdam appointment: Here is what you need to do in such a situation;

No Appointments Available

Try again another time. It would be best if you tried at least once every day until you get the appointment.

This Service Group is not available in any branch of your selected Region

The service you have selected, i.e., permanent family visa, family visit visa, or housemaid visa, is not available in the entire region. Please select a different region.
