They shall offer air shuttle service between Jeddah Airport and airstrips in Makkah hotels near Masjid al-Haram.

The eVTOL Air Taxi has a capacity of six passengers. While it has been assured that this aircraft service will mark history, when it will start has not yet been revealed.

How long will it take?

Although the speed of the eVTOL Air Taxi has not been disclosed yet, it generally flies at a speed of 200km/h. It means it will take pilgrims around 25 minutes to reach directly to their hotels.

The train service also takes around 30 minutes to reach Makkah from Jeddah Airport. However, the train goes to the station, and you must take a bus or taxi to get to your hotel later.

On the other hand, the Air Taxi will land directly on your hotel’s rooftop if it has airstrips.

Currently, pilgrims can travel from Jeddah Airport to Makkah by airport buses, taxi services, and trains. The flying taxi will be an addition to the current modes of traveling.
