Ghars well (بئر غرس) in Madina has great Islamic importance as it was one of the favorite wells of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Bir Ghars is located only 1.5 km away from Masjid Quba.

1- Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would often visit the well of Ghars to drink its water.
2-Bilal ibn Rabah رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ would often bring the water of this well for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
3- Once Anas رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ was directed Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to bring him the water from this well. Then Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was seen drinking the water and performing ablution from it.
3- Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: When I die, wash me with seven buckets from the well of Ghars. – Sunan Ibn Majah 1468
4- Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Majma’a رحمة الله عليه (father of Imam Bukhari) told that once Prophet Muhammad ﷺ narrated that He had a dream where He took his position on a well from Paradise.
On the same morning, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ took position on the well of Ghars. He also performed wudu from its water and spit in it. Honey was presented to him as a gift, and he poured it into the well.
