According to a program on the Saudi TV channel Al-Akhbariya, reducing weekly working hours without cutting pay has improved work quality and made workers happier.
In an interview with Al-Akhbariya, a female company employee said, “This is an excellent decision. It’s made things more convenient for us and given us more time to rest. You can spend time with your family and friends and also go to the gym,” she added.
Another worker mentioned, “I live in Jeddah while the company is in Riyadh. With this change, I now have three days to go to my city on the weekend.”
An official from the company’s sales department said, “This change has improved the staff’s ability to work and has also increased the company’s production.”
