Lailatul Qadr falls on one of the last ten odd nights of Ramadan: the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th.
Recite one Chapter of Holy Quran
To gain a deeper understanding of the blessed night, read or listen to the Tafseer of Surah Al Qadr. Reciting one chapter of the Quran on this night is worth 30,000 days (1,000 months) of reward.
Perform Etikaf
Spend the last 10 days of Ramadan on Etikaf for Allah. One night could earn you a reward equal to 1,000 months of worship, or you may earn 30,000 days of worship by observing Etikaf.
Pray Salat-al-Tawbah
Ask for forgiveness every night. Repent for your sins and ask Allah to accept your good deeds on Lailatul Qadr.
Donate at least SR 1
A great way to earn rewards is to donate to charity every odd night, with a minimum of SR 1 per donation. By doing so, you can accumulate the reward equivalent to donating SR 30,000. It’s a meaningful and constructive way to give back to those in need while also earning blessings.
Don’t miss Taraweeh
Perform Taraweeh during the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan. Performing 8 or 20 Taraweeh is equivalent to performing 240,000 or 600,000 Taraweeh.
Recite all memorized Surah of Quran
Recite all the small chapters of the Quran that you have memorized while driving or doing other chores. An average person shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to do this.
However, during Lailatul Qadr, these 10 minutes can be very significant. It is recommended to choose a comfortable place, either in your home or mosque, to worship Allah and spend a long time in prayer.
Make Dua
During Sujood, make plenty of Duas and elongate the Sujood to ask Allah for everything you desire in this world and the hereafter.
Spend time with your parents
If your parents are alive, be kind to them, your domestic workers, and everyone in your household. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has declared that just looking at one’s parents with love is rewarded with the status of an accepted Hajj.
