A Qatar Airways flight had to make an emergency landing, not due to a technical or medical reason but the fact that a wife starting beating her husband after she found out about his extra-marital affair.
Extramarital Affair
An Iranian woman flying from Doha to Bali succeeded to unlock her husband’s smartphone using his fingerprint while he was sleeping and discovered his extramarital affair.
The woman started beating her husband brutally. Many flight attendants tried to stop her but they failed to calm her down.
Emergency Landing
Seeing all the situation and being unable to handle the woman, the flight was forced to divert to Chennai, India where they were offloaded.
According to Al-Arabiya, the security agencies said she was drunk. The couple was not allowed to board the following flight until the lady calmed down and the matter was resolved.
Qatar Airways Statement
According to an official statement, no police action was taken. Qatar Airways delivered a statement, “in respect of passenger privacy we do not comment on individual cases.”
