7 Duas for 7 rounds of Tawaf

Performing Tawaf is one of the fard acts of Hajj and Umrah. In Tawaf, Muslims walk around the Holy Kaaba for 7 times in a particular way. Although it is not a Sunnah, but the following 7 Duas are recommended for the 7 rounds of Tawaf for Muslims.

• Fard and Sunnah acts of Umrah.

It is better to make your own supplications while performing Tawaf as it is one of those places in Masjid al-Haram where all duas are accepted. Still, if you recite the following dua while performing Tawaf, make sure you read the translation too as reciting a Dua without understanding it would not make any sense.

Dua – 1st round of Tawaf

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَلْكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي يُمُشَى بِهِ عَلَى طَلَلِ الْمَاءِ كَمَا يُمُشی بِهِ عَلى جُدَدِ الْأَرْضِ وَ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي يَهْتَزُّ لَهُ عَرْشُكَ وَ اَسْتَلْكَ الَّذِي تَهْتَزُّ لَهُ أَقْدَامُ مَلَائِكَتِكَ وَ أَسْمُلَكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ مُوسَى مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ وَ الْقَيْتَ عَلَيْهِ مَحَبَّةٌ مِنْكَ وَ اسْتَلْكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي غَفَرْتَ بِهِ لِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ آلِهِ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَاَخَرَ وَ أَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَتَكَ أن تَرزُقَنِي خَيْرُ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرة.

O Allah! I call on you by your name, by which it is walked on the waves of the seas as it is walked on the roads of the land, And I call on you by your name, for which your throne shakes, And I call on you by your name, for which the feet of your angels tremble, And I call on you by your name by which Prophet Musa عليه السلام prayed to you from the side of the Mountain Toor and you accepted his prayer and conferred your love on him, And I call on you by your name by which you pardoned Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his household, all his previous and future sins, and completed all thine blessings for him to provide me with the best of this world and the hereafter.

Dua – 2nd round of Tawaf

للّهُمَّ إِنِّى إِلَيْكَ فَقِيرٌ وَإِنِّى خَائِفٌ مُسْتَجِيم تغَيِّرُ جِسْمِي وَلَا تُبَدِّلُ إِسْمِي فلا سَائِلُكَ فَقِيرُكَ مِسْكِيْنُكَ بِبَابِكَ فَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْجَنَّةِ اللَّهُمَّ الْبَيْتُ بَيْتُكَ وَ الْحَرَمُ حَرَمُكَ وَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدُكَ وَ هَذَا مَقَامُ الْعَائِدِ الْمُسْتَجِيرِ بِكَ مِنَ وَهَذَا النَّارِ فَاعْتِقْنِي وَ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَهْلِي وَ وُلدِي وَ اِخْوَانِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا جَوَادُ يَا كَرِيم

O Allah! I am your dependent servant, and I am fearful and take refuge in you; so do not alter my body nor change my name. I am your beggar, your poor destitute servant at your gate; so grant me mercifully your paradise.

O Allah! The House is your House, and the sanctuary is your sanctuary, and the servant is your servant, and this is the station of him who turns to you and takes refuge with you from Fire; so save me and my parents, my children and my faithful brethren from Fire, for your art the Generous, the Gracious.

Dua – 3rd round of Tawaf

اللَّهُمَّ ادْخِلْنِي الجَنَّةَ وأجرى مِنَ النَّارِ برحمتك أَجِرْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَعَافِنِي مِنَ السُّقْمِ وَ أَوْسِعُ عَلَيَّ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ الْحَلَالِ وَادْرَهُ عَنِّى شَرَّ فَسَقَةِ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ وَ شَرَّ فَسَقَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَ الْعَجَمِ يَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَالطَّولِ يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَ الْكَرَمِ إِنَّ عَمَلِى ضَعِيفٌ فَضَاعِفُهُ لِى تَقَبَّلُهُ مِنِّي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيم

O Allah! Grant me the Jannah by your mercy, and give me refuge from Fire by your mercy, and heal me from disease, and enlarge your lawful bounty for me, and keep me safe from the evil of the dissolute among the genies and men and the evil of the Arabs and non-Arabs.

O you bountiful, mighty and munificent! My deed is little, so multiply it, and accept it from me; verily you are the All-hearing, the All-knowing.

Dua – 4th round of Tawaf

يَا اللَّهُ يَا وَلِيَّ الْعَافِيَةِ وَ خَالِقَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَ رَازِقَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَالْمُنْعِمُ بِالْعَافِيَةِ وَالْمُتَفَضِّلُ بِالْعَافِيَةِ م عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى جَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ يَا رَحُمْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ رَحِيْمَهُمَا صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَارْزُقْنَا الْعَافِيَةَ وَ تَمَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَ شُكْرَ الْعَافِيَةِ فِي الدُّنيا وَ الْآخِرَةِ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

O Allah! The owner of well-being, the creator of well-being, the bestower of well-being, the granter of well-being, and the conferrer of well-being on me and on all your creatures, O, you the merciful of this world and the hereafter and their compassionate God, bless Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his household, and bestow on us well-being, full well-being, and thanks giving on well-being in this world and the hereafter, by your mercy, O you most merciful.

Dua – 5th round of Tawaf

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي شَرَّفَكِ وَعَظَمَكِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بَعَثَ مُحَمَّدًا نَبِيًّا وَجَعَلَ عَلِيًّا إِمَامًا اَللهُمَّ اهْدِ لَهُ خِيَارَ خَلْقِكَ وَ جَيْبُهُ شِرَارَ خَلْقِكَ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ –

Praise to Allah Who has honored us and exalted us, Praise to Allah Who sent Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a prophet and designated Ali as Imam and the leader. O, Allah, Guide the best of your people to him, and keep the evil of your creatures away from him.

O our Lord, Grant us your blessing in this world and your blessing in the other world, and save us from the pain of Fire.

Dua – 6th round of Tawaf

اللَّهُمَّ الْبَيْتُ بَيْتُكَ وَالْعَبْدُ عَبْدُكَ وَهَذَا مَقَامُ الْعَالِدِيكَ مِنَ النار اللهم من قبلك الروح و الْفَرْجُ وَ الْعَافِيَةُ اَللّهُمَّ إِنَّ عَمَلِى ضَعِيفٌ فَضَاعِفُهُ لِى وَ اغْفِرُ لِى مَا اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنِّي وَ خَفِيَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ أَسْتَجِيرُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ –

O Allah! The House is your House, and this is the station of him who takes refuge with you from Fire. O Allah! All blessing, relief and well-being come from you.

O Allah! My deed is little, so multiply it for me, and forgive all that you know of me but has been hidden from your creatures. I take refuge with Allah from Fire.

Dua – 7th round of Tawaf

اللهم إن عِندِى أَفْوَاجًا مِن ذُنُوبِ وَأَفْوَاجًا من خَطَايَا وَعِندَكَ افواج مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ و أفواج من مِنْ مَغْفِرَةٍ يَا مَنِ اسْتَجَابَ لِاَبْغَضِ خَلْقِهِ إِذْ قَالَ انْظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ اسْتَجِبْ لِي – ـعُنِى بِمَا رَزَقْتَنِى وَبَارِكْ لِى فِيْمَا آتَيْتَنِى.

O Allah! I bear crowds of sins and crowds of faults, and with you are crowds of blessing and crowds of forgiveness. O you Who granted the request of your most hated creatures when he said “give me respite until the day they are resurrected,” grant me my request. When he said,” Give me time to the day of resurrection, accept from me. O Allah! Make me content with what you have provided me with, and bless me with what you have given me.
