Jawazat increases Iqama renewal fee for expats

Saudi Arabia has imposed a new fee on Iqama renewal in addition to the existing fee structure. Starting on January 1, 2025, the following fee will apply.

This means that you will now have to pay SR 69 for Naqal Maloomat, which used to be free of cost.

Current Iqama Renewal Fee

Now, you will have to pay the following fee to renew your Iqama.

  • Maktab Amal Fee: SR 9,600.
  • Iqama Renewal Fee: SR 650.
  • Dependent Fee: SR 4,800/dependent.
  • Insurance: around SR 500/person.
  • Absher Fee: SR 51.75.

Asher Business clarified on its official account on the X platform that these fees are for special value-added services provided through the platform. They are not part of the standard annual package that employers subscribe to.

Over the past period, the Absher platform has introduced several new services. For example, Absher Individuals now offers a feature that allows people hosting visitors to report absconding cases for those who entered Saudi Arabia on visitor visas.
