How to get a final exit visa in Saudi Arabia?

As per new rules in Saudi Arabia, expats can request the final exit visa خروج نهائي for themselves as well as apply it for their dependents through Absher.

Self-Final Exit Visa – Employees

Requirements

As per the new rules in Saudi Arabia, employees can request their final exit visa through Absher if they meet the following conditions;

1. There must be no car/vehicle under his name.
2. The final exit visa of all dependents is issued (explained below).
3. All dependents on family visit visas have left Saudi Arabia.
4. Iqama expiry should be more than 32 days.

Procedure

• Log in to your Absher account https://www.absher.sa/
• Click on the “My Services” tab.
• Select “Passports” from the given options.
• Click on “Visa Requests“.

On the next page;

• Scroll down until you find the option to “Create Request for Visa“.
• Request Type: Final Exit Visa.
• Agree to the terms and conditions.
• Click on the “Confirm” button to request the final exit visa.

Acknowledgment: I acknowledge that I have known the penalty of breaching the contractual relationship, including the prohibition of returning to work in Saudi Arabia permanently.

If you do not meet the requirements mentioned above to get the final exit visa, you will receive the following error message.

Error Message: Sorry, you are not eligible to create a visa request, please contact with General Directorate of Passports.

New Rules for Final Exit Visa

The following rules are applicable if you are requesting a final exit visa through Absher;

1. The employer will have ten days to approve or reject the request.
2. If the employer approves the visa, the employee will have five days to issue the final exit visa.
3. If the employer rejects the visa, the MOL will review the objection and decide on it within ten days from the initial request.
4. The request will be deemed accepted if the employer does not respond within ten days.

Remember that this service is just an option; your employer can still get your final exit visa through his system.

Dependent Fee and Final Exit

When issuing the final exit visa, the dependent fee for your family members must have been paid for the next 60 days.

Example

• Final Exit Issue Date: 20 June.
• Iqama Expiry: 15 July.
• The dependent fee is already paid until 15 June i.e., 25 days.
• Dependent fee to be paid: 60 – 25 = 35 days.

Apply for Final Exit Visa – Dependents

Requirements

To apply for the final exit visa for dependents, the following conditions must be met;

1. There must be no car/vehicle under the dependent’s name.
2. The dependent fee is paid for 60 days from the date of the visa.
3. Valid Iqama.
4. Passport Validity is at least 60 days.
5. The dependent is inside Saudi Arabia.
6. No unpaid violation.

Procedure

• Log in to your Absher account https://www.absher.sa/
• Click on the “Family Members” tab.
• Select “Visa Services” from the given options.
• Click on the “Next” button.

On the next page, you will find the list of all dependents;

• Select the dependent by clicking on the “More Details.”
• Select “Issue Final Visa” from the given option.
• Agree to the terms and conditions.
• Click “OK” to proceed with issuing the final exit visa.

• If you want to take a print of the final exit visa, you will find the option on this screen.

Validity of final Exit visa

How long can you stay in Saudi Arabia after stamping your final exit visa?

• The validity of the final exit visa is 60 days from the date it is issued.
• The validity of the final exit visa requested from the employer (explained above) is 15 days from the date it is approved.
• Once the final exit visa is issued, the Iqama validity becomes irrelevant.
• There is a fine of SR 1,000 for not leaving Saudi Arabia within its validity. However, there is no fine to cancel the final exit visa within its validity.

Huroob and Final Exit

Once the final exit visa is issued, the employer does not have the authority to file Huroob.

Where to surrender iqama on final exit?

There is no need to surrender your Iqama with Jawazat after the final exit is processed. While applying for the final exit, you agree that you will collect and discard the Iqama cards of your dependents.

Final exit without Kafeel

Before the new labor reforms, people had to file a case in Saudi Labor Court to get the final exit without Kafeel’s approval. However, following the procedure explained above, you can easily get a final exit without the employer’s approval after completing your contract.
