Saudization in purchasing, sales, project professions

The HR Ministry has announced varying levels of Saudization for project management, procurement, and sales professions. Different levels of Saudization have been introduced in the following professions;

• Procurement / Purchasing.
• Project Management.
• Sales.
• Cargo Offices – Shipping and Freight Brokerage.
• Outlets for decor and women’s tailoring.

Saudization in Purchasing professions

1- 50% Saudization level has been set for the following professions related to purchasing and procurement;

• Purchasing manager.
• Purchasing representative.
• Food manager.
• Private trademark supply specialist.
• Tendering specialist.

2- The decision is applicable to organizations that employ 3 or more workers in procurement jobs. – HR Ministry.

Saudization in the Project Management

1- 35% Saudization level has been set for the following professions related to project management in the first phase. 

• Project manager.
• Project management specialist.

2- The minimum salary for a Saudi employed in these professions is SR 6,000.

3- The decision is applicable to organizations that employ 3 or more workers in project management jobs.

4- In the second phase, there will be 40% Saudization in the project management professions. – HR Ministry.

Saudization in the Sales Professions

1- 15% Saudization level has been set for the following professions related to Sales;

• Sales manager.
• Internal sales and customer services manager.
• Patent specialist.
• Marketing sales expert.
• Printer and copying equipment salesman.
• Computer salesperson.
• Retail sales manager.
• Wholesale sales manager.
• Commercial specialist.
• Sales specialist.

2- The decision is applicable to organizations that employ 5 or more workers in sales jobs. – HRSD Ministry.

Saudization in Cargo Offices

The ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, and the General Transport Authority implemented Saudization in 14 activities that cover outlets providing services for freight activities and freight brokers.

Outlets for decor and women’s tailoring

100% Saudization in administrative jobs of all outlets for women’s decoration and sewing services.

The regulation to appoint one Saudi female worker in technical professions in outlets where there are 10 female workers or more in technical professions also came into force. – HR Ministry.
