- Effective Date: 08 July 2023.
40% Saudization in restaurants
40% Saudization in restaurants with service, banquet kitchens, fast food stores, and juice shops except for excluded professions.
- This is applicable only if there are a minimum of 4 workers in a shift inside the restaurant.
- Excluded Professions: Cleaning Workers.
- Max 20% of staff can be from the excluded professions.
50% Localization in Cafes
50% Saudization in cafes that serve drinks in cafes, and ice cream stores except for excluded professions.
- This is applicable only if there are a minimum of 2 workers in a shift inside the restaurant.
- Excluded Professions: Cleaning Workers.
- Max 20% of staff can be from the excluded professions.
50% Saudization in Wholesale activity
50% localization will also be applied to workers in the wholesale activity of food and beverages except for excluded professions.
- Excluded Professions: Cleaning Workers and Unloading Workers.
- Max 20% of staff can be from the excluded professions.
The job of the accountant/cashier in all these economic activities would be 100% localized.
MHRSD said the localization percentage in the professions of marketing specialists and sales representatives is 40%.
