HR Ministry allows expat dependents to work in KSA

HRSD Ministry has allowed companies to hire expat dependents (husband, wife, children) if 5 conditions are fulfilled;

5 conditions to employ dependents

1- The dependent should be qualified in various specializations and fields required for the job.

2- The appointment fills the actually required job vacancy.

3- The hiring does not downgrade the establishment’s Nitaqat status.

4- The dependent Iqama profession is not reserved for Saudis.

5- If the dependent is getting hired in a specialized profession, he needs to get a membership of the relevant body.

• All Engineers and 136 technicians professions need to register with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• All accountants and auditors need to register with SOCPA.
• All health practitioners need to register with Mumaris Plus.
• All veterinary professionals need to register with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Transfer Process

Once the hiring process is complete, the employer has to follow the process to transfer iqama of the dependent.
